5 Coffee Machine Types for Wholesale Buyers: Which One Should You Stock?
Coffee machines are the part of a wholesale coffee range that sells itself on the shelf - and the part that carries the most risk in the container. Voltage, plug type, certification, spare parts and after-sales support all have to line up with the market you are selling into. Get the mix wrong and the pallets sit in the warehouse; get it right and machines pull capsules, beans and accessories along with them.
We supply five types of coffee maker, each aimed at a different buying occasion. Here is what each one is for, who buys it, and what to check before you order.
1. Automatic espresso machines - the hotel and office staple
These are the machines that make the sale in markets where staff turnover is high and nobody on site is a trained barista. One touch produces an espresso, a latte or a cappuccino, and the built-in milk frother takes the guesswork out of micro-foam.
What matters in this category is consistency and ease of cleaning rather than raw specs: removable milk tanks, clear descaling instructions, and a simple control panel that a receptionist or a housekeeping team can use without training. Our all-in-one range covers one-touch models with a built-in milk frother, a touch-screen model with a 1.2L water tank and 1L detachable milk tank, and a compact stainless model with a 1L removable milk tank for multi-beverage selection.
Typical buyers: hotels, serviced apartments, offices, co-working spaces, small cafés, and retail brands selling into the home market.

2. Capsule coffee makers - fast single serve, low training
Capsule machines win wherever speed matters more than craft: in-room hotel coffee, office pantries, showrooms and waiting areas. There is no grinding, no dosing, no tamping and nothing to clean out between cups.
The important commercial detail is compatibility. A machine that accepts K-Cup pods, Nespresso-style capsules and ordinary ground coffee gives your customers a reason to keep buying whatever capsule format their market already uses - and gives you a reason to quote capsules on the same order.
Typical buyers: hotel groups buying in-room equipment, office suppliers, distributors building a capsule-led range.

3. Moka pots - stovetop espresso with no electrics
Moka pots are the quiet bestseller in markets where stovetop coffee is the default: Italy, Spain, Portugal, Latin America, North Africa and the Middle East. They need no plug, no voltage certification and no after-sales service, which removes the biggest headaches of machine distribution.
The twin-spout version is the interesting one commercially: one pot fills two cups in a single brew, which suits catering, camping and gift packaging as much as home kitchen use. Construction matters - food-grade stainless steel body and base, a stable handle, and a working pressure relief valve.
Typical buyers: housewares importers, gift and seasonal ranges, outdoor and camping retail, distributors selling into stovetop markets.

4. Electric Turkish coffee pots - the Middle East channel
If you sell into Turkey, the Gulf, North Africa or any market with a strong cezve or ibrik culture, an electric Turkish coffee pot belongs in the range. It is a daily-use appliance rather than a weekend purchase, so repeat orders and gifting seasons both work.
Two features decide the sale: safety electronics (auto shut-off and boil-dry protection are close to mandatory in most retail channels) and the pour. A fine spout that lets the foam settle properly is what separates a usable pot from a frustrating one. We offer a 500ML 600W model, an auto shut-off version, and a fine-pour-spout variant with a ribbed body and non-slip handle.
Typical buyers: Middle Eastern and North African distributors, gift and housewares retail, hotel suppliers.

5. Electric gooseneck kettles - the specialty channel
Gooseneck kettles exist because pour-over coffee lives or dies on water temperature and pour control. A digital display and adjustable range of 40-100°C let the brewer hit the temperature a particular bean needs instead of guessing.
This is a smaller-volume line than the others, but it sells to the customer who buys the best beans - which makes it a good margin item for roasters, specialty cafés and home-brewing retail.
Typical buyers: specialty coffee shops, roasters, home-brewing retailers, gift ranges.

The five types side by side
| Type | Best for |
|---|---|
| Automatic espresso | Milk-based drinks at volume, operated by non-baristas - hotels, offices, cafés |
| Capsule maker | Fastest single serve with zero training - in-room hotel coffee, office pantries, retail |
| Moka pot | Stovetop markets and gift ranges - no power supply, no certification, low unit risk |
| Turkish pot | Cezve and ibrik markets - daily-use appliance, strong gifting season |
| Gooseneck kettle | Specialty and pour-over customers - temperature control and precise pouring |
How to decide your mix
Start with the market, not the catalogue. A distributor in Spain sells moka pots and espresso machines; a distributor in the Gulf needs Turkish pots and capsule machines. Look at what your customers already brew at home before you choose what to stock.
Then check the power standard. 110V for North America and parts of Latin America, 220-240V for most of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Getting this wrong is the single most expensive mistake in machine wholesale - the goods cannot be resold without a step-up transformer.
Then match volume to duty cycle. A home-style machine used all day in a hotel lobby will fail early; a fully automatic machine in a four-room guesthouse is money wasted. Ask what a machine will do per day, not what it can do once.
Finally, plan the spare parts. For machines, after-sales is part of the product. Confirm what seals, gaskets, milk tanks or catch trays can ship with the container, and whether the importer can order spares separately later.
Order checklist before you confirm a machine order
- Voltage and plug - stated on the specification sheet and on the rating label, not just in the email
- Certification - CE for the EU market, and whatever your own market requires; ask for the certificate, not a promise
- Packaging - retail gift box, master carton, carton dimensions and gross weight, so you can calculate landed cost
- MOQ and lead time - including sampling time if you want custom colours or your logo
- Private label - logo on the machine, packaging and manual; decide before production, because it changes the tooling and the timeline
- Manual language - the manual should match the market, not the factory
Where to start
We supply espresso machines, capsule makers, moka pots, electric Turkish coffee pots and gooseneck kettles with OEM and private label support, alongside roasted beans, capsules and drip bags - one partner for the whole coffee range rather than four suppliers and four shipments.
Tell us your market, your channel and your approximate volume, and we will recommend a machine mix, quote it, and put it in the same container as your coffee.
